Sorrow hidden Darkness

Such dark little bastards... look at them... looking at me... DEMANDING I walk into their little traps.

But I say to them I say... "Nyet!" and they leave me be ^^.

Enough with that, ONTO THE REVIEW!

I liked the bell work here, it gave a very light step to it.

The deep DEEP strings however... had that mask of darkness to it, and those horns only fueled the dark fire that burned deep within these fairies fragile frames.

There is also a very heavy drape of sorrow in this piece, mainly consisting of the strings, they add a lot of sadness coupled with the darkness, its quite interesting to see how it all unfolds.

I can't write more, suggestion wise I have little to add, anything else from here on would sound like rant, so i'll cut it here.

As usual a 5/5 from me, with a donut ^^.

Not a big jazz fan, but still...

This could EASILY be used in so many flashes. I'm not a big fan of jazz, so I don't really know what to say for suggestions or criticism.

The saxaphone layer you added worked wonderfully, it finished the scene that was being created by the other instruments.

I can only say I personally think it fits PERFECTLY to the image, and is very jazz oriented.

Good work Grumleduke, sorry I can't write a longer review, I don't know what to say ^^.

so i'll just leave with a 5/5.

heh, this fits PERFECTLY with your description, a nice simple tune, to nice simple people.

I built such a wonderful world with just this tune alone... it kinda made me sad when the world stopped existing (or when your song ended).

Still, very good melody work.

I am glad you decided not to put any drums in here, that would have drastically altered the songs core, though a cymbol crash would have been appropriate, I would have liked to hear that in here.

And why is there no FLUTE!? Heh, a song like this DEMANDS the use of the nice light, touch of a flute!

Simply amazing Grumbleduke, I am trying to judge your pieces more harshly, as you seem to be getting pretty damn good, but this still gets a 5/5 from me.

so pleasently it loops!

I loved the melody! Was so captivating, I absolutely loved it.

The simple percussional work worked extremely well, and that "game over" at the end before it loops again, is a nice idea.

A simple beat, which is simply amazing. I can't think of anything to change or alter, without drastically changing the songs core, and by doing that, it wouldn't be this song anymore, so i'll cut it here.

heh, you should be bored more often!

The intro was was a little too long to have that melody going, I believe you should have brought those drums in sooner, those scratched up drum effect was pretty well done.

I'm not a very big fan of panning sounds, in my opinion they steal too much attention, and are somewhat of a distraction for the listener.

The simple melody is captivating to say the least, its also a great foundation to build a melody upon, I believe that would have done the piece great justice.

Still it was a good piece.

4/5 from me this time Diabolo-ical, cuz i've seen what your capable of and this isn't you at your greatest potential :). Keep them coming.

Pretty damn sweet.

oh I love the feeling this piece gives off, especially that subtle, quiet intro.

That build up also did greatly, I rather enjoyed this piece Admiral, I am not that well versed in Trance or Techno, so I won't waste your time with suggestions.

Though I would have liked to hear some sound effects going off in the background ^^.

yeah the buzz sound was a bit frustrating, but as you explained this is because I am using headphones. For future reference, perhaps you should create two version of the song, especially if somebody wants to put it on their MP3 player, they will be dealing with headphones, not surround sound.

I did try it on surround sound, sounded pretty DAMN neat.

first time i've given a 5/5 for a short loop. Keep them coming phoozle.

yeah, I spaced out, almost fell into a coma, but thats something else to tell my grandchildren.

Again, loved the melody and feel of it. Very good work on that.

I would have liked to hear some sound effects in the background, you know, like a whooshing sound, or even thunder in transitions, GOD I would LOVE to hear this with some thunder in the background, I feel it would add IMMENSE power to it.

X_x... the gentle classical composer gets blown to shreds by the awesome GoreBastard. You is so violent, I loves it!

So brutal, a great tune. I didn't understand a single word, probably cuz i'm not trained in this genre, still I absolutely love the feeling it provided.

Now if you will excuse me, I must go slaughter many with this tune in my head.

Good stuff.

wow... this must be the first time i've ever heard a trance song inspired by snow.

The vocals were so messed up and evil sounding.

When the piano kicks in, that part ROCKS! The effects you have going on in the background, make it sound so powerful, very firm and aggressive... this tune makes me think of blizzard storms, and avalanches, not the gentle falling snow flakes like the song first made me think of at the intro.

Still it was an very interesting piece to listen to.

I'd just check those vocals, they get too loud at parts, and though the first vocal you introduced flowed well with the song, the others weren't as pleasent.
